Collections will take place on Friday, 12th January 2006 in Rooms 206 and 207 at the Institute for Chinese Studies (N.B. Additional Language and Special Language Japanese must attend both morning and afternoon sessions.)

Friday, 12th January 9.30 am –12.30 pm:

First year undergraduate

          Practical Chinese (1½ hours) up to lesson 24. 

          Classical Chinese (1½ hours).

Third and fourth years: Additional language and Special Language Paper Japanese (1 hour).

First year M.Phil.

          Practical Chinese (1½ hours) up to lesson 24.

Friday, 12th January 2.15–5.15 pm:

Second year

          Modern language (1 hour, plus Internet assignment which will be ready on    Monday 0th Week).

          Mengzi (1 hour).

          History and Civilization, Part A essay (1 hour)

Third year:

          Modern language (1 hour, plus Internet assignment which will be ready on Monday 0th Week).

          Option texts (1 hour)

          Modern Literature: Translation from Lu Xun texts

Politics and Society: essay only.

          Additional Language Tibetan (Dr Ramble will advise.)

          Additional Language  Korean (Dr Lewis will advise)

          Yangzhou shiri ji (1 hour).

Additional Language and Special Language Japanese (morning session)

Fourth year:

Modern language  (1½ hours)

Option texts: Modern Literature: translation from Lao She and essay on all topics).

          Additional Language Tibetan (Dr Ramble will advise.)

          Additional Language and Special Language Japanese (morning session)

2nd Year M.Phil.: Modern language (1 hour, plus Internet assignment).
