中国人看病有多难呢？日前，记者一大早来到北京某大医院的挂号处时，正值凌晨4点30分，已经有人在此排队等候挂号。在中国，专家门诊的诊金是7元，但是国外要请一个医生看病，诊金是300元，为什么我们会觉得在中国看病贵呢？因为我们不像国外那样有完善的医疗保险体系，国外看病是自己、国家和雇主各付一部分，中国是全部由病人自己付钱，所以中国人觉得看病贵。”中国政府把解决“中国人看病难、看病贵”的问题放在第一位。在中国，医生和医院不多，这就造成了“人民看病难”的问题。而且医生的职业水平也高低不同，所以很多外地人会去一些大城市看病，比如：北京、上海等。
中国政府鼓励人民买医疗保险，并且强制公司企业为员工上医疗保险。农村医疗保险的问题最大，但政府有信心解决农村医保问题，使8亿农民“有病不用急”。
