布朗:       你的    电视         买    吗?

Brown:        Was your TV bought recently?

 

shĭmìsī:        shì.   wèile    kàn    zhōngwén jiémù,     wǒ sān ge   yuè    yǐqián mǎi  de

史密斯:   是。为了          中文       节目,            以前      的。

Smith:          Yes. I bought it three months ago to watch Chinese programme.

布朗:                     中文        节目            吗?

Brown:       Do you often watch Chinese programme?

 

shĭmìsī:       wǒ  měitiān     dōu    kàn.

史密斯:                看。

Smith:         I watch it every day.

shĭmìsī        xīnwén   tǐyù     yīnyuè   wénhuà,  lǚyóu  děngděng  wǒ  dōu   kàn 

史密斯:  新闻、体育、音乐、 文化、 旅游   等等                看。

              news     sports   music   culture    travel   etc.           I      all    watch

Smith:         News, sports, music, cultural programmes, travel  programmes and  so on.

 

bùlăng:       nǐ   néng tīng   dǒng             ma

布朗:                               吗?

              you can  listen  understand  ma

Brown:       Do you understand?

 

shĭmìsī:      suīrán     tīng   bú  tài  dǒng         dànshì duì wǒ xuéxí  hànyǔ  yǒu hǎochù

史密斯:  虽然             懂,         但是      学习 汉语    有  好处。

                 although listen not too understand  but     to   I    learn Chinese has benefit

Smith:        It’s good for learning Chinese though I can’t understand completely.

 

bùlăng:       nǐ   zuì     xǐhuān shénme jiémù

布朗:     你       喜欢   什么    节目?

             you most  like     what   programme

Brown:     What programme do you like best?

 

shĭmìsī:       wǒ zuì  xǐhuān     yòuér  xué  hànyǔ        tā   bǐjiào       róngyì.  yǒushí         tīng    bù    dǒng           wǒ jiù      bǎ   tā   lù        xiàlái

史密斯: 我   喜欢  《幼儿     汉语》。   比较       容易。 有时                  懂,                             下来。               

             I   most  like        kids  learn  Chinese     it  relatively   easy      sometimes  listen not understand   I   then  BA  it  record  down

Smith:         I like Kids Learning Chinese, as it’s comparatively easier.  I record the programmes if I don’t understand.

 

 

bùlăng:       nǐ    zhēn   nǔlì           wǒ  yào  xiàng    nǐ   xuéxí

布朗:             努力,      我                 学习。

             you  really work hard   I     will   from    you  learn

Brown:      You really work hard, I have to follow your lead.

3.  Explain the following situation in Chinese.

Two days ago, Mr. Brown went to see Mr. Smith who bought a new TV set three months before in order to watch some Chinese programs. Mr. Smith watches Chinese programs every day. He watches news, sports, music, cultural, travel programmes. He likes Kids Learning Chinese best. He often records it and listens to it again if he cannot understand.  Mr. Smith studies very hard.
