Alternatively one can say 酒喝完了 jiŭ hē wán le. wán finished refers to jiŭ  the wine, but not the action to drink.

The difference between 把酒喝完了and 喝完酒了 is that the word wán  finished refers to the object wine in the first sentence, and it refers to the action to drink in the second sentence.
