The British Chinese Language Teaching Society (BCLTS)

The British Chinese Language Teaching Society (BCLTS) is an organization of Chinese Language Teachers in the universities and other language teaching institutions in the UK. It is also a sub-group of the British Association for Chinese Studies (BACS). Its objective is to improve the teaching of Chinese language in the UK by means of exchanging teaching experience and teaching materials. At present, two events are held annually to achieve this goal, one workshop and one symposium.

How to become a member

Under our current policy, all the Chinese language teachers at the universities and other language teaching institutions in the UK are welcome to join us by paying an annual membership fee of 30 pounds (20 pounds if you renew your membership in time). Members of the BCLTS will automatically become members of the BACS. Members will also receive BCLTS newsletters and BACS bulletin and be able to attend BCLTS workshops and symposium without the need to pay for registration fees nor accommodation.

If you are interested to become a member, please fill in the form and send it to Ms Xuan LI  with a copy of your CV and  a cheque payable to University of Oxford.
