Situation
A is a British student who is trying to find an art shop on the other side of town
B is the first Chinese passer-by.
C is the second Chinese passer-by.
Tasks for B, the first Chinese passer-by and C, a Chinese bus conductor
Make the conversation as realistic as possible by greeting each other at the beginning and by using small talk. Try to anticipate the flow of the conversation by looking at the following prompts.
B Chinese passer-by
- Tell A that he or she has to change twice to get there.
- He or she should take the number 13 bus to Heping Road, then take the number 41 to Great Wall Avenue, and then take a number 2 trolleybus (无轨电车 wúguĭ diànchē N) to Chang Jiang Road.
- Tell A that when he or she gets off he or she should ask people there where Heping Road is.
