A is a British student who is trying to find an art shop on the other side of town

B is the first Chinese passer-by. 

C is the second Chinese passer-by.

Tasks for C, the second Chinese passer-by

Make the conversation as realistic as possible by greeting each other at the beginning and by using small talk. Try to anticipate the flow of the conversation by looking at the following prompts.

  1. Tell A that it is not far from here.
  2. Tell A to cross the street, walk westwards, turn right at the traffic lights (红绿灯hónglǜ dēng N) and then go straight ahead. The 3rd street on his or her left is Nanjing Road.
  3. Tell A that there is no Chinese art shop in Nanjing Road.
  4. Ask A if he or she is thinking of the shop called Chinese Scenery.
  5. Tell A that the art shop is actually in Nanjin Road not Nanjing Road.
  6. Ask A to take the number 2 bus and then change to the number 41 bus to Heping Road.
  7. Tell A that the nearest taxi rank is in Nanjing Road.
