Looking for a job & going to a job interview [Part 3]

Situation

A is a British student in Beijing who is looking for a translation job

B is a Chinese person in charge of the translation section of the Beijing Export and Import Company

Tasks for B, a Chinese person in charge of the translation section of the Beijing Export and Import Company.

Make the conversation as realistic as possible by greeting each other at the beginning and by using small talk. Try to anticipate the flow of the conversation by looking at the following prompts.

1. Tell A that you need somebody to translate into English all your business letters destined for English speaking countries.
2. Ask A why he or she is interested in translation work.
3. Tell A that before you can employ him or her officially A should try out the job for a week.
4. Tell A that he or she will occasionally have to translate some Chinese documents into English.
5. Tell A that he or she can do the job at home.
6. Tell A that on average he or she will have to do about 10 pages of translation a day.
7. Tell A that he or she can start tomorrow.
