Situation

A is a British student at Peking University, who is looking for accommodation around the university area

B is a Chinese student who is looking for a flatmate

Tasks for B, a Chinese student who is looking for a flatmate

Make the conversation as realistic as possible by greeting each other at the beginning and by using small talk. Try to anticipate the flow of the conversation by looking at the following prompts.

1. Ask A his or her nationality. 
2. Tell A that your flat has 5 rooms: 4 of them have already been occupied.   There is only one room left, facing north.
3. Tell A that all the bills (账单 zhàngdān N) will be shared equally (...平摊 píngtān V) by 5 people. The bills would normally be 500 a month in total.
4. Tell A that you have a phone-card -operated telephone (用电话卡的电话 yòng diànhuà kă de diànhuà N). Tell A that your flatmates use mobile phones and the phone-card -operated telephone is hardly used.
5. Suggest meeting at 11 o'clock this morning.
