OF OXFORD BOARD OF THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES BRITISH INTER-UNIVERSITY CHINA CENTRE Instructorship in Chinese Salary Grade 6 £22,774-£27,193 Applications are invited for a fixed-term Instructorship in Chinese, tenable from 1 March 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter, for a period of four years and seven months. Applicants must have a native, or equivalent, command of Mandarin Chinese; and some experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language at university level. Applicants should hold, or expect to hold by the time of their appointment, a degree or equivalent qualification. The Instructor will be required to give instruction in Mandarin Chinese at all levels, including a small amount of teaching outside term; and to participate in the further development of the profile of Chinese Studies in the University.
