Tutorial and Other Arrangements for Chinese


All students


Language timetables and other information for all years are on the Centre for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language website (, under ‘Student diary’.


The Consultative meeting has been scheduled for Monday of 7th Week (13 June) at 3p.m.  Anyone with items of business should notify Dr Hillenbrand one week in advance.

Revision classes: Students should contact the relevant teachers to arrange revision sessions.


Option texts: contact the relevant tutor.


Classical Readings: Classes will commence in 2nd week.


Zhuangzi discussion class:  First meeting at 11a.m. on Wednesday of 1st Week.


Poetry revision: These classes will take place in room 204.


2 pm (12 May and 19 May):  Ainsworth, Carsten, Duncan, Fleming, Kane, McGill.

3 pm (12 May and 19 May):  Oates Wormer, Taylor, Waldegrave, Lomas, Taylor, McAlpine

Third year


History tutorials: The groups will switch again this term. Dr Ditmanson will be in contact to organise tutorials.


Dissertations: There will be a meeting for all students to give a brief presentation on the topic of their dissertation on Tuesday of 6th Week (7 June) at 4 pm. All students must attend. A schedule of presentations will be posted later in the term. Please contact Dr Hillenbrand immediately if you have not yet identified a supervisor.




Options and Special Subjects: Please contact the relevant tutor.

Society and Politics text classes: these will be held on Thursday afternoons. Dr Nie will be in touch about groups and times.
