The following is a dialogue between A, a company manager, and B, the head of a faculty.

A:        wǒmen gōngsī   xiǎng     zhāo     liǎng míng    mìshū

           Our company would like to recruit two secretaries.

B:         kěyǐ     nín  yǒu shénme yāoqiú

           可以。 您  有    什么    要求？

           could    you have what  requirement? 

B:        Yes.  What are the required conditions?

 

A:        néng yòng  yīngyǔ dǎ      diànhuà    xiě  xìn

能    用     英 语  打      电话，  写    信。

           can   use    English  make calls      write letters

A:        Anyone who can make phone calls and write letters in English…

            

           shuōhuà  qīngchu   néng yòng diànnǎo

3. Explain the following situation in Chinese.

A manager of a company visits the head of a faculty in a nearby university. He asks the head to recommend some graduates to his company, as his company needs two secretaries.  The manager tells the head that the secretaries should be able to make phone calls in English and should be able to write letters in English. The secretaries should also be able to use computers. Above all, the secretaries must be good looking, friendly and reliable. The monthly salary for a secretary is 2500 Yuan.
