a.          wèi,    Kèlākè xiānsheng,  nǐ    qù  năr?

             喂，  克拉克先生，      你  去   哪儿？

             hi,      Clark    Mr,            you go where?

Hello,  Mr. Clark.  Where are you going ?

b.         wǒ   qù   xuéxiào  shàngkè.

我   去   学校     上     课 。

             I     go    school   attend lesson

     I am going to class at school.

a.         zhème wǎn  le.   nǐ shàng     shénme kè?

这么    晚  了  你   上       什么   课？

so        late LE.  You attend what lesson

     It’s very late. What course are you studying?

b.         wǒ  báitiān gōngzuò, méiyǒu  shíjiān.

我    白天   工作,     没   有 时间。    

I     daytime work,    not have time

    I work during the day, and I don’t have time (to study).  

wǒ  zhǐhǎo  shàng  yè          xiào      xuéxí    Zhōngwén 

     我   只好    上      夜         校        学习    中文。 

     I      only    attend  evening school  study   Chinese

      I have to go to evening class to study Chinese.

a.         yìbiān  gōngzuò,  yìbiān  xuéxí,    hĕn bù cuò   ma* .

    一边      工作， 一边   学习 ，很  不  错    嘛 。

     Studying  while working isn't too bad.

b.         nǐ wèishénme  xué   Zhōngwén  ne?

你  为  什么  学    中文           呢？

Why do you study Chinese?

a.          míngnián  wǒmen  gōngsī    yào    pài   rén    qù  Běijīng gōngzuò.

明年       我们   公司      要      派   人     去   北京      工作。

next year our     company want send people go Beijing    work

      Our company is sending some people to work in Beijing next year.

yīnwéi  wǒ hěn  xiǎng  qù,   suǒyǐ      wǒ  jiù  xuéxí  Zhōngwén.

因为    我 很   想       去，所以     我   就  学习   中文。

because I   very intend go    therefore I    then study Chinese

             I very much would like to go, so  I am studying  Chinese.

b.         ò.   xiànzài xué    Zhōngwén de  rén     yuè lái   yuè  duō    le.

 哦。现在   学    中文        的  人      越  来   越    多    了。 

oh    now     study Chinese   DE people increasingly many LE

 I see. There are more and more people learning Chinese.

           wǒ kàn Zhōngguó  jiārù  Shìmào  yĭhòu,  xué Zhongwénde  rén       huì   gèng   duō.   

   我  看  中国        加入  世 贸    以后，学    中 文    的   人       会   更    多。

I   think China      enter  WTO    after    study Chinese  DE people will  even many

I think there will be even more people learning Chinese when China joins the WTO.
