Comments  Alternatively: 你 女 朋 友 把 你 昨 天 买 的 书 都 一 本 一 本 地 扔 到 河 里 去 了 nǐ nǚ péngyou bǎ nǐ zuótiān mǎi de shū dōu yìběnyìběn de rēng dào hé lǐ qù le. Adverbs which describe actions, such as the 地 de adverbial phrases, may appear before 把 bǎ, but in the 被 bèi construction they are often placed before the main verb of the sentence. For instance, 那 几 张 邮 票 都 被 他 整 整 齐 齐 地 贴 在 信 封 上 了 nà jǐ zhāng yóupiào dōu bèi tā zhěngzhěngqíqí de tiē zài xìnfēng shàng le those stamps have been stuck neatly on to the envelope by him. If 把 bǎ is used instead of 被 bèi in the above sentence, it will be 他 把 那 几 张 邮 票 都 整 整 齐 齐 地 贴 在 信 封 上 了tā bǎ nà jǐ zhāng yóupiào dōu zhěngzhěngqíqí de tiē zài xìnfēng shàng le.
