Comments  Alternatively: 请 你 別 吸 着 烟 吃 饭 qǐng nǐ bié xīzhe yān chī fàn. The expression 一 边 ...一 边 yìbiān…yìbiān… indicates that two actions happen simultaneously, or that a person does two jobs during the same period. 一边 yìbiān should always be placed before a verb. For instance, 我 们一 边 学 习 一 边 工 作 wǒmen yìbiān xuéxí yìbiān gōngzuò we study, but at the same time we also work.
