Situation

A is a British student is travelling to Nanjing.

B is a Chinese train attendant.

C is a Chinese passenger in the same compartment; and a station manager on the phone.

 (On platform 6 is carriage 2 which is for soft berth passengers. The train attendant is standing by the carriage door and letting his/her passengers on.)

Tasks for C, a fellow traveller; and a station manager on the phone

Make the conversation as realistic as possible by greeting each other at the beginning and by using small talk. Try to anticipate the flow of the conversation by looking at the following prompts.

1. Have a polite conversation with A. Ask if he/she is going to Nanjing on        business. Say that he/she speaks Chinese very well. Help with A's           luggage.
2. [On the phone.] Tell B that A's wallet is in your office
3. Tell B that you will send it on the next train to Nanjing and A can fetch it the following day.
