Comments  Time measures should be placed after the main verb in an affirmative sentence, as demonstrated below. Future: 明 天 我 要 坐 三 个 小 时 的 火 车 míngtiān wŏ yào zuò sān ge xiăoshí de huŏchē; or 明 天 我 坐 火 车 要 坐 三 个 小 时 míngtiān wŏ zuò huŏchē yào zuò sān ge xiăoshí; or 明 天 火 车 我 要 坐 三 个 小 时 míngtiān huŏchē wŏ yào zuò sān ge xiăoshí tomorrow I shall be on the train for three hours. Past: 昨 天 我 开 了 两 小 时 的 会 zuótiān wŏ kāi le liăng ge xiăoshí de huì; or 昨 天 我 开 会 开 了 两 个 小 时 zuótiān wŏ kāi huì kāi le liăng ge xiăoshí; or 昨 天 的 会 我 开 了 两 个 小 时 zuótiān de huì  wŏ kāi le liăng ge xiăoshí yesterday I had two hours of meetings.
