Question: It is your first visit to your teacher's home. You want to find out from a Chinese friend what sort of presents you should take with you.

Hint 1   Use the modal verb 得 or 要
Hint 2   得 or 要 should be placed before the main verb 带
Answer  我 第 一 次 去 我 老 师 家 得 带 些 什 么 礼 物 呢？ Listen
Comments  Alternatively: 我 从 来 没 去 过 我 老 师 家, 得 要 带 些 什 么 礼 物 去 好 wŏ cónglái méi qù guo wŏ lăoshī jiā, děi yào dài xiē shénme lĭwù qù hăo? The modal verb 得 děi implies some sort of obligation. 得 děi and 要 yào can be used together as shown above.
