Comments  Alternatively: 我 吃 了 饭 就 作 练 习 wǒ chīle fàn jiù zuò liànxí. The 一...就...   yī…jiù…construction is similar to the V 了...就...   Vle…jiù…construction, which is used in the alternative answer. Both constructions imply that the second action happens immediately after the first action is completed. The difference is that the  一...就...  yī…jiù… construction can be used to form four-character expressions by placing monosyllabic verbs after 一 yī and 就 jiù, as in 一 说 就 懂 yì shuō jiù dǒng as soon as it was said, (he) understood it. 一 修 就 好 yì xiū jiù hǎo as soon as he had mended it, It was OK.
