Comments  Alternatively: 你挡住了黑板上的字.走开点儿 nǐ dǎng zhù le hēibǎn shàng de zì. zǒu kāi diǎnr. The 给gěi which is placed before the main verb 挡上 dǎng shàng as in 你把黑板上写着的字给挡上了nǐ bǎ  hēibǎn shàng xiě zhe de zì gěi dǎng shàng le  indicates that the action of blocking the words on the board is an undesirable one. In the video clips Xiao Wang says 我把我的电话卡给弄丢了 Wǒ bǎ wǒ de diànhuà kǎ gěi nòng diū le. Xiao Wang thinks that losing a phone card is an undesirable thing, therefore 给gěi is placed before the main verb 弄丢nòng diū. For instance, 他把我的车给偷走了 tā bǎ wǒ de chē gěi tōu zǒu le he has stolen my bike. 他爸爸把他给打了一顿 tā bàba bǎ tā gěi dǎle yí dùn his father has beaten him up.
