Question: Tell your friend that Xiao Wang has just finished drinking in the pub and is about to smoke a cigarette.

Answer  小王刚在酒吧喝完酒了，现在要吸烟了。 Listen
Comments  Alternatively: 小王刚在酒吧喝完了酒.现在要吸烟了 Xiǎo Wáng gāng zài jiǔbā hē wán le jiǔ. Xiànzài yào xī yān le.  把 bǎ  is not used here, because the resultative word  完 wán finish refers to the action 'drinking' but not to the object 酒 jiǔ wine, as the previous sentence implies. 喝完了酒 hē wán le jiǔ means that Xiao Wang is satisfied (with drink), although there is still plenty of alcohol left in the pub.
